Symptoms of a Miscarriage

Loss of pregnancy symptoms. Of no doubt, sudden and complete loss of all pregnancy symptoms may be a symptom of a miscarriage; still, it is not the first sign of it. Most pregnant women have lots of days, they feel like not being pregnant at all, their nausea abates for several days, as well as their breasts become less sore. It is quite a normal phenomenon around weeks 10 to 14, and it is not a reason to be concerned at all. The reason of it is the hormonal levels’ evening out and the placenta’s taking over. It should also be kept in mind, that the loss of pregnancy symptoms in case of a miscarriage is usually something, which happens after all other symptoms have already occurred.

A pregnancy test, which is positive, then negative. This is considered to be a classic symptom of an ectopic pregnancy. It is also possible that a woman may see spotting. In case, if a woman had a positive pregnancy test, and then in a few days it became negative, she is to apply to her doctor right away, as she must rule out her ectopic or take care of it long before she will have to go the surgical route. However, in case if a woman is taking two or more tests in the same day she might be right on the edge of a positive result, and urine later in the same day may not be kept so concentrated to keep the positive. In order to make sure, it is necessary to repeat the test the following morning.

Anyway, if a woman is concerned, she should better dial her doctor’s telephone number, as it is much better to call for something, which does not turn to become a problem, rather then to stay up half the night worrying about it.

When There is No Need to Get Worried
No matter whether it is the first pregnancy, or if a woman has already been through a miscarriage, there is one thing, everyone has in common – it is worry, worry, worry. And no one can assure that it is not normal for any future mother, still in accordance with the statistics about 90% of pregnancies end with a squawking baby, regardless of the turmoil the mom was through to get there. Here come the most widespread things, a woman will fret over, along with the explanations why these things are not real problems.

Bleeding. It is quite normal, when brown blood (it means it is an old blood) comes out in small amounts. It usually occurs when the egg implants in the uterus (about 7 – 10 days after the ovulation), it may also coincide with the time of a woman’s menstrual period. It is also possible that a pregnant woman may bleed slightly after she had sexual intercourse, though this blood is definitely not from her baby. The cervix is soft, and, in addition, it is filled with blood, so, it is possible that it may bleed a little after sex.

Most women get scared, when they have bleedings, which are bright red in color. However, there is no need to get panicked, if it occurs between 10 and 12 weeks of pregnancy, or if it happens at the time, a woman would have expected her menstruation. Until a woman quite far along, most part of her uterus is not involved in keeping the baby, and it is possible that it can bleed in case of any minor hormone fluctuation. If there is no cramping, the woman should call her doctor, simply to let him know, lie down on her left side and hopefully the blood will slow down, turns brown constantly and finally stops. In case if the woman pushes the tissue, the doctor may schedule an ultrasound with the aim to put all her fears to rest.

Cramping. It is normal for every pregnant woman to experience a lot of random cramping during the whole period of pregnancy. As a rule the reason of it is considered to be the round ligaments, which get expanded to accommodate a growing baby and the uterus. In case if cramping goes away after a few pains or after a woman sits down and has a short rest, then there is no need to get worried.

Inability to eat or keep food down. This is completely normal, as the baby is just as big as a grain of rice, and it never demands steak dinners. As soon the baby begins to need the extra 300 calories per day, a woman will be eating just fine. Any future mother should simply do her best with her saltines and soda, and keep in mind that the more severe her morning sickness is, the better is the functioning of her hormones.

Few or no pregnancy symptoms. It is not necessary at all for every pregnant woman to spend every day throwing up and / or sleeping the whole day. Most people have symptoms, which are either light, or it is also possible not to have symptoms at all; however, this does not mean the miscarriage at all. It is necessary to remember, that every pregnancy is different and unique, and every next pregnancy is usually easier on the woman’s body.
