You should always have a bottle of water with you. Mineral water is the best variant for any pregnant woman. Pure, without bubbles, it will quench your thirst and provide you with useful minerals. Soda water is not very useful now. It is saturated with carbon that gives it refreshing taste, but irritates your stomach. Sweet soda drinks contain many synthetic chemical substances, not recommended by doctors at all, especially at the pregnancy period. They may cause for heartburn. Juices are very useful of course, especially fresh squeezed ones. Make carrot, beetroot drinks, but do not get too much involved with any, as you may get allergic. You should avoid orange juice during the last months of your pregnancy.
If you could not stay without coffee and strong tea before, now it is just the time to restrict yourself in these drinks, as they contain caffeine that influences your baby’s health in a negative way. And these drinks prevent iron from getting into your stomach. So, you do not let yourself to more than a couple of cups per week of these drinks. Cacao prevents calcium adoption by your organism. It may cause allergy even sooner than oranges or lemons. But if you are crazy about it, and having anemia, the only way out for you is to add more milk into your cup. Tea contains caffeine as well. Do not forget about it. It is more useful to drink green tea, as it has many natural biologically active substances and antioxidants.
