The Beginning of a New Life

The biggest mystery for the mankind the beginning of a new life still remains. It seemed we know practically everything about this process, and at the same time we know nothing at all.

On the 14th day of your menstrual cycle one of the ovules in your ovary ripens and gets into the fallopian tube, ready to be fertilized during 24 hours. If the fertilization does not take place, an ovule dies and gets out along with the blood during your following menstruation.

fetusThe best time for a conception is the ovulation period. Having 28 days cycle, it occurs 14 days before your period.
In the result of a sexual act from 200mln up to 400mln spermatozoids vomit, part of them gets to the body of uterus through the neck of the uterus. From the body of uterus they get to the fallopian tube. Here spermatozoids stay alive for about 48 hours.

Sperm contains a substance that dissolves the ovule’s membrane, letting the spermatozoid come inculcate into it. After this another men’s cell has no access there any more. During the confluence of a spermatozoid with an ovule, one-celled embryo, called zygote, appears. Coming down along the fallopian tube it divides into more and more cells, and on the 4th day after fertilization it gets the uterus cavity.

At the end of the 3rd week the embryo begins to inculcate into the uterine wall – the implantation occurs. After its attachment to the uterine wall the conception process comes to an end. The embryo outer layer villi get into the epithelium layer and connect with blood vessels of the uterus to form placenta later. The umbilical cord and protective membranes form from other cells. As for the inner cells, they divide into three layers and form different organs and tissues of a future baby.
