It has lower risk of complications and you will be able to lead your usual way of life in a week or two after abortion. It is performed under a general or local anesthesia. There are many pains – lowering means, depending on the facility of yours.

The procedure of an early abortion contains three stages:
Stage 1st – Suction. The fetus, placenta and other tissue are being extracted from your uterus with the help of a special device, which woks vacuum like.
Stage 2nd – Dilation and Curretage. The fetus, placenta and other tissue are cut and scraped out.
Stage 3rd – Dilation and Extraction. The fetus is pulled out in pieces with the help of forceps, the placenta and other tissue are removed.

Late Abortion
In case if you did not know that you got pregnant and found out about it only during the 2nd trimester of your pregnancy (beginning with the 13th and up to 24th week of it), and after all you still want to put an end to pregnancy, you will be conducted the procedure, called Dilation and Evacuation (D and E). This procedure is somewhat different from the abortion, conducted during the 1st pregnancy trimester. The D and E procedure usually requires a 2 up to 4 day process.
