3. Supervise and monitor your children and adolescents.
It would be a good idea to establish some rules, standards and curfews of how you expect your child to behave. 5. Discourage early, frequent and steady dating.
It is, of no doubt, true, that group activities, present among young people nowadays are fine, and they are often fun, however, you should not allow your teenage child / children to begin one – on – one dating before the age 16,as it can become the reason of his or her getting into trouble. You should better let you child / children know about your preference about this throughout childhood, and not be expecting until your child would propose you his or her own plan, which differs from your preferences in this area greatly. In case if you do not do it, your teen may consider that you simply dislike some particular person or invitation.

6. In case if you have a teenaged daughter, then you are to be strongly against her dating a boy, who is much older than she is, and if you have a teenaged boy, you should better not let him develop any intense relationship with a much younger girl.
It is usual, that older boys seem glamorous nearly every young girl, however, the risk increases with every year of age differences between them. That is why you should try to set some age limits, for example, the difference between your child and his beloved person is not to be more than two – three years. Remember, that the power difference between older guys and younger girls usually leads girls into risky situations, such as having unwanted sex, etc.

7. Help your teenaged child / children to have their own options for the future that are more attractive than early pregnancy and parenthood.
If your child has an aim in his or her life, and if his or her future appears bright, then the chances that your child / children will delay their sexual relationship, pregnancy and parenthood get much increased. And it is you, who can help your son or daughter to set meaningful goals for the future. To do this, you are to talk to your child / children about what is needed to make future plans come true, you are also to make your child / children sure, that he or she / they can always rely on your help in reaching the goals. You may tell them, that, if they want, for example, to become a teacher, it would be necessary for them to stay in school with the aim of earning various degrees and passing some certain examinations. You should also teach your child / children to use free time in the most constructive way. Do not forget to explain, how becoming pregnant or making someone pregnant can destroy the best plans, for example, you should mention that child care expenses may possibly make it practically impossible to afford studying in college and receive education.
